Have been meaning to post these for a while. I have inherited one of the teapots and bought another one at a car-boot. The imprint on both says: “Made in England” and the make that I just cannot make out. On the green one the make is almost readable, but not quite. It starts with May (?)…. I have experimented with possible versions but failed miserably. I can see both have model numbers though.Melba Ware. H. A. Wain, Longton, (Staffs). Image311

H. A. Wain & sons, Melba works, Longton, Staffordshire from 1946.

They produced a lot of this "chintz" type of domestic and decorative ware, but are
also well known for a large range of well-modelled animal figures.
