Tried looking for the mark on gotheborg website but, well, it doesn't appear in the Japanese section it seems. Unless i've got the mark upside down or something. I presume that red circle means it's been in an auction house maybe? I paid a whopping 1 for it although it does have a small chip on the base rim.

Yes, it's upside down. The character that will be on the bottom left is "zo", meaning "made". I didn't find it, either, but my eyesight isn't good.

Mark of the 1871 in Nagasaki founded export company for Hirado products.
