Help with ram aquamanile/decanter

Hello,
I was at a flea marked yesterday and saw the most handsome little guy.
The seller hadn't been able to look into his origin, but said he is from Germany, 1960s.
Even with all his charm I didn't buy him, as his price was quite steep - at least for an unknown piece

Googling around I weren't able to find any further information about him, but I did find the remains of an eBay auction. Sadly I couldn't see what he had been sold for. There were no marks or stamps to help the search either.

I would very much like to find out where he comes from, so if anyone here got any ideas, please don't hesitate to leave a comment. All help is appreciated! A possible price range for him would also be very welcome.

I think it's a copy of a Medieval / Renaissance water jug, does not look to have much age

I’ve seen a few around. I was told they were made in Greece as novelty liqueur decanters.
