Sgraffito and drip glazed footed bowl SE mark

Hi folks,

My wife bought this at a local French brocante.

9" tall and a diameter of 8.5"

It looks French to me ... fairly heavy, and the sgraffito and might be little bit crude for a professional piece.

The mark inside the bottom, again, seems to be typically French (ie no stamp) It appears to be a large graved S with E in its centre.

It looks great with fruit in it! Any suggestions as to the potter will be appreciated.

... You're probably right! I have posted this onto the French forum to see if they say anything else. I'll let you know if they do.
