Hand-built, unglazed stoneware vessel Height: 7". No visible makers mark... Any ideas who might be responsible? Thanks.

Nice jug. There is a faint rectangular stamp on the base but too shallow to read.

Had a close look at potential stamp on base but don’t think it is a mark... Think it’s an edge of layering of clay with background texture, but agree it does look like something in photo. Thanks anyway.
