Ribbon Handled Vase - unsigned
Hello Folks,
Please can someone settle an argument about this vase. It has been attributed to either Valentina Sgroi or Walter Asai. I believe there is no way that this is made by either. Google search turns up a couple of American potteries that produce one or two pots that are a bit more similar (Alewine, and Pigeon Forge) ... but, again I think not.
So ... is there anyone here who can give an idea to who made this?
It is 10" tall - widest diameter about 6.5"
Its a bit on the heavy side.
I bought it in the UK.

Re: Ribbon Handled Vase - unsigned
Valentina Sgroi certainly has similarities, although they make a traditional form for weddings so I think there would be others of this shape online and I’m not finding them. I also can’t find a photo of any bases so can’t rule it out completely
I’m not finding any reference to “Walter Asai” Pottery
I’ve come across a couple of U.K. potters who have extravagant handles; I’ll see if I can find them

Re: Ribbon Handled Vase - unsigned
Cheers. Well they both have distinctive ribbon handles so I think they can be ruled out.
