Lidded Pot with Frog signed with name P L - please help id Empty Lidded Pot with Frog signed with name P L - please help id

This is an unusual pot with a frog to the lid and signed to the base with what looks like a name that starts with a P and the surname with an L?  Very hard to read - can anyone help ID this please.
