Large plate/bowl, is this French?

I posted pics of a jug recently and was informed the black mottled pattern was possibly Gres de Puisaye, this has a similar edge but I don't know what else to look for. Absolutely no hint of a mark anywhere.

This looks British from the stoneware body, the glazes and the type of decoration. It could well have had a sticky label with all of the information but without something similar are the same coming to light with a label I think it will remain unidentified.
