Help with identifying this piece and mark on the base. I have darkened the base as to see the mark more clear, thanks again.

have a look at this mark ... the 'stick on' clay mark is about 1cm diameter/just over .5" ... can you tell me the size of your pot - and the size of the mark?

Thanks for the reply. Very odd marks and not very clear, possibly French or continental.

Hi potterymad62 ... thanks for coming back ... what do you see in the goblet that makes you think it could be French or continental (apart from the fact that I bought it in France!)? And on that note - do you think your pot might be European?

Sorry for confusing you, I was referring to my pot and post. Lovely goblet though.

... No problem.

if you think your pot could be European, it might be helpful to submit it also onto the French pottery forum http://placedelours.superforum.fr/f9-cramique

I have just updated the picture of the mark, shaded in with a pencil to show the mark more clear. Looks like a P with over extended tail at the top of the P. Still no clue to the mark or pottery & potter.
