Silver bowl P&Co Empty Silver bowl P&Co

The mark seems to be by Plante & Co 1892..1898. http://www.silvermakersmarks.co.uk/Makers/Birmingham-P.html

However, the date mark does not match up with any Birmingham hallmarks. Any ideas why?
