It seems to be French production, probably the year is 1974.
I will appreciate any comment on provenience and period.

Seems to be signed ‘Made in Siam’, so from Thailand, early 20thC? The ormolu surround may well be French

The visible mark says clearly “Made in France”; in the picture is not so evident.
The other part of the mark is rubbed, so I cannot know the factory.

Ah, I can see it now, thank you. It might not be a date but just a decorator’s number. I would still suggest early 20thC
