I am erring towards Italian, as there no moulded numbers... but who would I search under to gain a direction on factory?

There is a similar vase on Etsy same shape and colouring different design stating the it is west German. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure after the war German potters used foreign to mark there wares so I would lean towards Germany especially as it looks late 40s early 50s to me

There is an extensive explanation on the foreign mark on the website Porcelain marks and more, however this is ambiguous to say the least.
