I have this green bowl which appears to say Liberty England on the base, but I can find nothing with this mark to compare it with. Can anyone tell me its origin and whether it is actually of any value. Thank you. What is the origin of this bowl please Dsc05711

I think you mean "Liberty".
Brannam made pieces for Liberty, I think in the 1920s.

Brannam is certainly possible but I think it’s could be a Farnham Pottery piece, as they also made for Liberty and it has the sort of drippy glazed base typical of their pieces. Early 20thC

Funny how the mind works. This piece has been bugging me all morning. A London Pottery beginning with L. What on earth would that be??? It never ever crossed my mind that it would be a shop name. Laughter Laughter

Mine is fruit bowl sized, much the same as yours. Same period? Naomi - don't think there is a Farnham connection. Mine is also heavily used, worn inside.

We don't do valuations but mine was the same cost in pounds as there are days in the Ides of March. So please make your own mind up.

Yes it's a different green, these are much lighter and more even - line green. Farnham are dirty and dark, more evergreen.
