Fragile old cup - Dio. Fes, Morocco

Hallo all.
My first time here, so please let me know if I set this up incorrectly.
I found this old cup recently which seemed to have some age to it. I cannot find any reference to the letters on the back; so though I would seek your expertise. Can anyone identify the origins of this cup?
Thank you.
Jack
Hmmm...can somebody please clue me into how I insert images for this cup!

Someone has a Fes Dio jug for sale which they describe as Portuguese.
There are also potteries in Fes, Morocco.

It does look Southern European so Portuguese is very possible

Looks to be a typical Moroccan bit of pottery. Signed with the city of origin Fes and the makers name Dio. Even the colours are typical. If anyone else made it the Moroccan government should sue for copyright.

Thank you all for your input. I hadn't considered Portuguese, but had noticed the Moroccan possibilities when I initially searched the internet.
