Please help ID my glass vase

Hello,My Nan has left me this vase and I know nothing about it.
It has no makers mark or ID on it.
It is 25 cm high and the neck is 18 cm across,it is heavy solid glass.
It came to my Nan from a cousin who thought it had been purchased from an exhibition at Alexandra Palace.

I'm afraid I don't know much about glass, but it looks similar to Chinese made Murano, or Czech Art Glass. It will help our other members ID it if you include a photo of the base.
