Teapot with multiple faces - Japanese Banko ware
I don't know if this is Chinese or Japanese or neither?
It looks like it was made in the last 100 years and is missing it's bamboo handle - very thinly potted.
Any clues?

May have had a simple wire handle, but even so, you can still buy replacement bamboo handles

Unless it can hold a sponge in the lid, I don't think it's a tobacco jar.
