Re: Elizabeth Saunders
I wonder if it could be by Janice Tchalenko for Dartington pottery? The mark would be a bit skewed if it was.
Re: Elizabeth Saunders
I think not,the colours are not Dartington glazes but I agree the style is similar to that of JT

Unknown Northamptonshire studio potter - Elizabeth Saunders?
Hi everyone - my first request for an ID is for a potter I collected during the early 1990s in Northants. The bird spout jug came from an exhibition at Northampton's Central Museum but I lost the details and the mark was obscured by glaze. I've since collected more of her work with clear marks so think it's time I found out who she (or possibly he) is. Does anyone recognise the work? All stoneware and all in these distinctive polychrome glazes. Many thanks.
Re: Elizabeth Saunders
Jim Bassett has kindly emailed me back with the following
"I think your pot may have been made by an ex guild member Liz Saunders, but I don't recognise/remember the mark!
I have passed on your enquiry to John Mathieson and Deborah Hopson-Wolpe who were my contemopary Guild members. I think Liz left the Guild and maybe potting with serious arthritis."
The name sounds right to me but hey, it was nearly 20 years ago!

ID help on studio teapot - Dartington? - Elizabeth Saunders?
Shape looks like Dartington but doesn't quite seem right. There is a faint impressed mark where the handle joins the main body. Bottom is unglazed and unmarked. Any help appreciated.

Re: Elizabeth Saunders
The base and clay look the same. Potters don’t always stick to the same thing over the years

Re: Elizabeth Saunders
Lovely glaze, right up my street. Wonder if she has any connection with Samuel Saunders from the IOW pottery.
