Fish Dish John Christie, Blackhills Pottery
This is a big shallow bowl or dish 12.5 inches in diameter, made in a dense white stoneware or porcelain. Celadon glaze all over, with a pattern of two fishes finger-trailed through cobalt blue. The two seal marks on the bottom rim, one circular, the other slightly oval, are glaze-filled and completely indecipherable. It can't be very old because it still has its original bar-coded price ticket - but scanning the bar-code doesn't help.
A long shot, but does anyone recognise who the potter might be?

Re: John Christie, Blackhills Pottery
Mystery solved. I had posted pictures of this dish on Facebook and was delighted to get a message from John Christie, Blackhills Pottery, that it's one of his from 2006. I love his work but had never seen anything like this by him.

That's wonderful :)
