Joey Scholfield, Suffolk
The details on the base of this pleasant pot (although I'd rather have the original thing) are pretty clear but I cannot find a single reference on the internet to Scholfield's (or indeed Schofield's, in case of a typo), other than two eBay listings for the same thing, which seems a little odd seeing as it dates from the 80s and is obviously professionally produced. Can a pottery exist and then disappear without trace?! Any info would be vaguely interesting...

Re: Joey Scholfield, Suffolk
There's a reference to Schofield in Penrith but not a Scholfields in Suffolk except for the novelty mustard pots. Not the sort of slipcast pieces that Schofield of Penrith would have made

Presumably Joey Scholfield:
http://www.craftco.co.uk/joey.html"I trained in ceramics at West Surrey College of Art and Design, after which I co-ran a small industrial pottery producing high end promotional and commerative ware for large companies. This led onto working for Maureen Minchin pottery as her general assistant, and later as a colourist decorating her sgrafitto slip ware.
...2015 saw the start of a move back into ceramics. Porcelain domestic ware with blue decoration"

Well spotted HB. From "a small industrial pottery" to rag rugs... interesting career progression. Think I prefer the pottery but each to his or her own. The grammar Nazi in me is dying to correct "commerative"!
