Hi folks,

Can anyone ID the maker of a vase I bought recently. I've been on the lookout for West German Lava as it's something I've wanted to collect and saw this. Not German I don't think, but it has an interesting shape and textures, however, I can't find the maker. It's around a foot high and unfortunately has some damage around the top but it's still a nice piece. The mark looks to me like either a T over an H or the Masonic 'Triple Tau' symbol. I've googled around and found that Kenneth Quick of Tregenna Hill had a similar mark although the T seems to go through the H unlike mine. Also I can't find that he did anything similar, usually tableware. Can anyone enlighten me?

Many thanks

James

The mark and the way that the work is executed suggests that it was made by a hobby potter. Therefore unless the person, who made it or someone who knew him closely, happens by it is likely to go unidentified.
