Pot With Domed Lid. House & Church Scene. FP mark - Stephen Smith?
About 6 inches high (to the highest point), sitting on top of the lid is a textured scene of a church, and on the other side a house.
The lid has been cut like a puzzle piece and only fits one way.
I have the feeling it's made to sell to visitors somewhere, but I could be wrong.
I'm not sure if the mark is made up of letters or not, you would think a google search would bring up something as this is quite distinct, but I'm having trouble. Does anyone know this?

Studio pottery vase, SHS mark - Stephen Smith, Leicester
HI, is anyone familiar with the maker's mark VK (it could be VR but I think most likely a K).
Thanks in advance, Shane...

Re: Stephen Smith, Leicester, SHS and FP marks
I've just bought a couple of pieces with this mark at a car boot sale. One is a jug with the same pattern as the vase in the previous post, and the other a vase, rather differently decorated. The mark on both is impressed onto an applied circle of clay.

Excellent find. But he seems to have a rather low profile online. Would he be half of the Steve and Sandra Smith of Leicester mentioned as showing stoneware at various craft fairs?

Just seen a jug with this mark and Stephen Smith's SHS mark. He was based in Leicestershire.

Little vase, monogrammed SHS - Stephen Smith
8cm tall vase, simple hand-painted decoration in a David Sharp type blue.
Raised monogram twice SHS(?) in an oval. Pretty sure the mark has featured on here fairly recently but I have a memory like a sieve.

I’ve come across the mark paired with Stephen Smith’s mark but don’t know what Pottery it refers to

A lot of potters made similar pieces, and Rankin's pot is a different shape with sheep on top so I dont think there's a link.
