Sara Radstone

A vessel form made by Sara in the 1990s - unmarked.

Although Sara has always been a hand-builder throughout her career, she has said that she has always based her forms on the vessel. These days it has become further removed than the example above and the ones that I will add below but she still insists that the vessel forms the basis of her work even today.

The vessel below, that I sold recently, dates from her time working at the Arlington studios in Brixton, South London (1985 - 1995) - during the middle of her stay there. It has a maximum height is 50.5 cm (19.9 inches) and the maximum width is 43.0 cm (16.9 inches).

The group of three vessels below date from the early 1990s.

Although not all of her work is marked here is the mark on the smaller one of the vessels above.
