Stefanie Newton, sn mark
Found this in South London yesterday not knowing who it was by. Upon investigating it would suggest that it may be by Stefanie Newton, who seems to have been born in 1944 and potted in Australia, Cornwall, France and Bristol from 1975 up until 2000.
Her work from 1975 until 1995 is described as domestic & decorative ware in stoneware and porcelain and, although there are some pieces on the web attributed to her that have a similar look and the description fits, I haven't found anything conclusive.
Any thoughts?

Sorry, I don't have that information. One comes with the following bio., so it might have been from the Australian marks site.
Stefanie Newton started producing domestic and decorative ware in Australia, moving to Cornwall between 1977-1983. She then produced in France between 1983 and 1995 before moving to Bristol until production ceased in 2000

Most of that, if not all, comes from BSPM but there aren't any independent images of her work that would convince me that my lidded pot is by her.
I did find an image of a dish in an auction (I think at Adam Partridge's) that was said to be by her and I feel that is likely to be correct. However, that seemed to be post 1995 when the description of her work in BSPM changed so gives no indication whether she did brush decoration in this style.

That’s great, thanks! Not a potter I know but I’ll do some research.
