Trevor Rushton Abstrct Oil Painting any info?
Thickly painted abstract, signed Rushton to the front and signed , dated and titled to the rear. The frame is in keeping for the period. Google throws up no results, hopefully someone out there knows something.

It's a good painting and I'm very surprised that I can't find any mention of him. He's not in Artists in Britain since 1945, which has details of around 14,500 different artists.

Yes I was surprised when I couldn't find any info, hopefully getting the name online will get some attention from a relative as has happened before.

Re: Trevor Rushton Abstrct Oil Painting any info?
Hi thank you for the warm welcome. I am afraid he wasn't a well known painter but studied at the Leeds College of art and used to go drinking with Jacob Kramer.
Teaching art was his profession and he also designed signage and material for pubs as well as graphic design. We have a lot of his paintings and sketchbooks and work of his students too. He loved painting in oils and I would often watch him. He also worked in lead and wood. We will dig some photographs out if they could be of interest.

hi thanks for getting in touch. It's finally solved a mystery, the painting is far too good to have not been identified. It would be really good to see some more are your fathers work if it would be possible to post some pictures.
