Glynn Ward, etc, Birkenhead - BP and GW mark windmill mark

I’m pretty sure this mystery BP mark is Birkenhead Pottery rather than Brampton Pottery. This one also has Glynn Ward’s W mark. But I’ll leave it separate from the main thread until I’m 100% sure  

It may not be relevant, but as I see it, I'll mention it.
There are 2 noticeable differences between these to marks.
1) The first one has a very flat top to the down stroke, with what looks to be a very slight dip (notch) before going into the rounded part of the mark. This latest one seems to a smooth line between the down stroke and the rounded part.
2) The first mark has the centre dots of the BP in a straight line parallel to the down stroke. This latest one shows the two centres clearly not parallel.

It could be just different stamps made at different times. But it could also be just the same idea, by different potteries?

These are the Glynn Ward stamps I was comparing them too. The decoration has elements of both the standard Birkenhead decoration, and the extra glaze dots seen on the mystery pots. And similar decoration to the mug at the bottom of the thread

I think these are also made by the same hand as the tankard, and have the same BP stamp

Yes the orange dots are quite distinctive.

Having just acquired this lovely large vase with marks for Stan Johnson and Birkenhead Pottery I was wondering if there is any link to Aldermaston Pottery or are there just artistic similarities?

Its a long thread but buried in there you find the signatures of virtually all the potters that worked at Aldermaston. Stan Johnson is not on any one of those lists. Its not to say that might have been there. They had many short time visitors over a period of over 40 years.
There clearly is a very strong influence tho. Who did Stan Johnson train with?
