Mishima decoration.
If you google - Japanese Tea Ceremony Mizusashi, Water Container of Kyo ware, Mishima style - you'll see an example with the same rim decoration

It's a long process to do this type of work. First you decorate with the impressed pattern and then use a dark slip to cover the item, which you let dry. You then cover the whole item again with the lighter slip and when that it almost dry you scrap it off the higher surface, leaving the lighter slip in the impressions. Then you fire.
