Big bowl marked NW 96 - Nicola Werner

Post by r-and-f on February 2nd 2013, 1:47 pm

Hi. This lovely big 28cm diameter bowl (with a matching ewer) is made in red earthenware with what I think is a tin-glaze, with neat French-faience-looking floral decoration.  But the look and feel of the clay and the potting make me think it's British.

No, I think it's Nichola Werner. I have one of hers and it's a similar mark

Let's make it into a competition and the potter that gets the most votes is the answer. Cheeky

It looks like one of them but not really worth the effort to try and find out which one for certain.

Thanks

Copied this over from the Aldermaston Pottery thread as Nichola was trained at Aldermaston

Picture do not do justice. NICOLA WERNER - 1982-1984
