What gives you more pleasure??

just wondered what gives people more pleasure ? buying a pot for say £100 and doubling your money or buying at a very small price and making X10? a few of my last things i have brought have been job lots and each time i have done a lot better than buying a single pot. think the last few have been £55 hammer price and sold them for just under £250 , £10 hammer around £90 and still waiting for my latest to turn up which was £35 hammer and should be about £150.

I know some will say anything that makes a profit

I like to make £50+ on a sale as I spend a lot of time and effort wrapping and boxing pottery so a tenner profit just doesn't cover my time

Definitely finding something for a few pounds that is worth over £100, eg, the Maltby lidded box and Qianlong plate and teabowl.

lots of people say any profit is a good profit but i think if i can make at least 100% then its great. i don't mind making a tenner profit if its only cost me a quid??

on a bootsale any profit(cash) is good, on ebay its a pain to do all that wrapping and going to the post office for a few quid, my most satisfactory buys are when I find somehing tha the "competition"hasn't noticed and then showing them

For me it's buying something for a tenner and getting x10 , that is more satisfying for me , anybody can make money from lower priced items , some go to car boots , but you'd be surprised at times the things that sell for nice little profits , not all but that's the fun I suppose .

very true paul... imagine the amount of time you spend listing an item and it goes for noting... sometimes car boots sales is good and cash in hand ... i recently done car boot sale just to get rid of somethings i don't want and turned out good... well for me is buying something under a tenna or a quid and turns out a very good profit.. nowadays i buy things that appeals to me if i can sell then, i am more than happy to live with it.
