Cheeky little face on these two, no marks and quite possibly not that old, fun though.

Burnham Pottery, run by Thom & Jan Borthwick at Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk

http://www.oldstationbookspots.co.uk/pages/history.html

Old Station Pottery & Bookshop is owned and run by Thom & Jan Borthwick. They met and married in the 60’s in London and moved to Norfolk in 1974. They started the Pottery in 1977 calling it Burnham Pottery as they lived and worked in the Burnhams. In 1981 they moved to the Old Station and the first Burnham Pottery cat was produced in 1981. Having produced thousands of floral and colourful cats, in 1990 the pottery changed direction away from small cats and back to the studio pottery of the early years. The second hand books grew from a hobby into a  business and the Station Pottery and Bookshop developed.
The station also has a long history.  Built in 1857, nearly demolished by a train in 1879, flooded up to the ceilings in the 1953 floods and still surviving to tell the tale.
