I have seen that mark "in the flesh"......................... then probably thought I have no idea who could have made the pot.

A different stoneware body, and high-fired, but seems to be the same mark.
I wonder if it's the same pottery?

It is, Denby. There was a second milk jug there, in the same blue as yours, and with the same mark as these pots.

Re: Taurus Crafts, Forest of Dean: Camphill Village Trust
Just come across an eBay listing with a S&P with this mark, attributed to Taurus Crafts, Forest of Dean. Looked it up and there isnt much info on who runs the pottery. Seems the site is also a visitors centre with various activities for adults & children wanting a day out. Run by a charity called Camphill Village Trust, for training adults with special needs. Also based at Newnham upon Severn.

Taurus is just down the road from me - both items look very like the pottery they produce. The items are made by the people the charity supports, who have special needs. I've drunk out of mugs in their café that look very similar to both these items, and I have a mug and a bowl in the same blue glaze that came from their 'seconds' shelf.

Great info. A lot of the pieces I’ve come across have been very well made :)
