Patterned jug with just a number. Empty Patterned jug with just a number.

Can anyone help ID this jug please. Or offer tips on terms to search. Googling 'old jug' has not helped much Shrugs

You've missed out two words that could help with your googling - put German stoneware between old and jug and see if that works better.

Looks more like Earthenware to me to be honest.

Hi Dan, it does look similar to Westerwald (thanks) although mine looks later than the examples I've found on google images. Have now realised though, there should probably be a lid hence little hole in the handle. Embarrassed
