Possible Sommerso squared vase old or new? Empty Possible Sommerso squared vase old or new?

Hi

I'm not convinced if this is an old piece or not, looks Italian Sommerso in style but has a deep clear base and the lower sides have rounded ripples rather than being smooth. Approx 22cm high and 6 across the sides.

Tbh it looks the sort of vase you'd find for sale in the supermarkets.

Proper Somerso has more than one colour cased inside the bottom.
I'm afraid I have to agree with Naomi. A certain chain of Charity shops
were selling cased glass vases a year or two ago in this exact colour,
some were textured, and were were then being sold on as Whitefriars to
unsuspecting buyers.

We get this type of coloured glass vases in the charity shop. I suspect they're made in Poland or China.
