Old Satin Glass 2-piece lamp help please

Hi All,

Hoping someone can steer me in the right direction on this old 2-piece satin glass lamp. No hardware.

Any information on approximate age, style, possible maker (no marks) will be greatly appreciated. Measures 14" high x approx 9" wide.

my guess it's for an oil lamp

Hi, Thanks for looking. Came from an OLD house, so I assumed it had some age. Thick, heavy glass, had rust marks, got most off, I assume from fittings.

Thanks again. I've done a little research based on your suggestions, yes it does appear to be an oil lamp. I'll see what I can dig up regarding the possibility of it being French, & will post it I find anything.
