David Alexander, Brackland Pottery slipware

Post by NaomiM on Fri Jun 20, 2014 2:45 am

Small dish with slip and groove decoration.
Incised DA monogram on the base.

I've seen one with a label which says:
Brackland Pottery David Alexander 17 , Short Brackland, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk (0284) 828723
Sometimes Brackland is also incised on the base of larger items.

Just picked up these two dishes by David Alexander, larger one 40 cms x 34 cms x 7cms deep, smaller one 33 cms x 24 cms x 6 cms deep. Both have same incised mark and initials to underside.
They seem very well decorated to me,I would be interested in what others think.
