Print/Engraving ID
Hi
My first posting in this section. I have this original print engraving. It's not in English so I would like to know more about it and where originates from. Can anyone on here kindly help me with this subject and medium.
Many Thanks
Ernest.

Re: Print/Engraving ID
Found a pair that had sold at auction in the US last year for $150. Yours looks a bit faded in comparison.
Demarteau is the artist. Yours look to be later, Victorian, copies, printed in France. But they might be early. Needs more research.
Gilles Demarteau (Flemish, 1750-1802), "Le Plaisir Innocent No. 433" & "Le Mouton Cheri No. 434", color engraving, 9 1/2" x 11 1/2" sight view, good condition.

Hi NaomiM
Many thanks for your reply and all the info. Yes defiantly Victorian about 1880-1890. Will do more research.
