I have this quite large terracotta bowl and would be grateful if anyone can tell me anything about it?

any info would be great. age . where it was made...

I don't think its British . Looks like burnished terracotta so may be Mexican/South American or Indonesian.

Naomi is right and it could even have been made in Africa too so it is going to be impossible to give a specific continent let alone place.

Likely to have been made "yesterday" i.e. 21st Century but could be 25 years old.

The surface patination may have been be caused by cooking residues, and the rather crude firing methods used, rather than faked.

I bought some very similar bowls from Indonesia,they were made about 15 years ago
