I don't think it's very old - 1960s to present day. Not seen the shape before, Could easily be by one of the uk slipware studio potters, or possibly Continental.

Wrong colour clay for Jean Hampton, all her work was in red clay. I've only ever seen peacock's by Jean Hampton and they tend to be solid based not open like this.
