Can anyone shed light on who maybe responsible for this piece.

The photo of the base is upside down. The HB mark is seen on Quimper pottery, so I suspect the word below (above) HB is Quimper, and it's from France.

Thanks Naomi. Having done a bit more research it looks like the designer is majatta taburet who was Finnish and worked with Quimper in the 1960's.
