Chinese / Japanese production pottery

Ive recently bought this bowl that appears to be fairly modern.  I have been unable to identify the mark so far despite it being quite distinctive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a Chinese character mark, so probably from China or one of the smaller Far Eastern countries. These manufacturers sometimes use a sort of shorthand in their marks, or pseudo-characters, so I doubt you'll be able to translate it. Nice bowl, but looks to be the sort of mass produced item retailed through the high street department stores.
