Re: Pauline Thompson
Never heard of it but probably correct, as the mark looks like the one listed in Goddens for Pauline Thompson of Ginge Brook Pottery, East Hendred, Berkshire. 1950+ studio type pottery.
East Hendred now seems to be in Oxfordshire.

Re: Pauline Thompson
I believe the mark is PT for Pauline Thompson, Ginge Brook Pottery in East Hendred, Berkshire (started 1950).

For most of the last 50 years Pauline Thompson taught pottery from the watermill on the Eyston estate in East Hendred which she converted into a home....
during the Second World War she helped design Mosquito fighter-bombers for the de Havilland Aircraft Company in St Albans....
She studied at Burslem School of Art, Lancashire, from 1949 to 1952 before moving to Kingston in Surrey to be close to London where she began to sell her pots in the local market, as well as in Covent Garden and later at Liberty’s and Harrods, and was a tutor at Southfields Pottery in South London.
She moved to East Hendred in 1963 and established the Ginge Brook Pottery from where she was to run classes and, for 34 years, an annual arts and craft exhibition.

Large square vase - incised mark something like "DPMT"- Pauline Thompson

This is my latest charity shop find. I'm sure I've seen the mark on the site quite recently, but despite using all conceivable search terms can't find anything. Previous owner had covered the base with carpet (obviously not wishing to scratch the Ercol; it is heavy) but fortunately it came off easily and the glue residue looks like it will all come off after a couple of tries. Size is 12" high, 10" wide, 4" deep.
