Vintage wood effect plastic fruit bowl with aluminium? feet by Ianthe, England.
Nice shape, but however many times I wash it, it still feels sticky.

I've got one the same thats sticky as well. I have had others that weren't though, also had a nice three tier cake stand made by the same company. if i remember right these fake wooden bits were the most stylish things Ianthe made.

try washing it with a 50/50 hot water / vinegar mix
