Milton Pottery (Scotland)
Wouldn't normally even look at a planter but this was just too good and at £2 I think it's a steal. The question is does anyone recognise the impressed mark, or the style. Haven't found anything yet. Suggestions gratefully received. (Ignore the italian pig. It's today's other purchase but I know what that is)
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Milton Pottery (Scotland)
No idea sorry, but I love planters... big, cheap and useful! Nice guitar collection by the way.

Not one of the M marks I've come across before, but it's a very nice planter.

I've been through so many M marks on the internet I'm beginning to think it's not actually an M but a stylised W

Stoneware Lamp Base With Bamboo Design - Milton Pottery, Scotland
Hoping someone can help with this mark, looks like an M. I know I've seen it before but not sure where.

Found a nice plate today with the same mark and a label identifying it as Milton Pottery, Scotland.

Tall slab built studio vase with disc decoration - Milton Pottery, Scotland
Another yard sale find, another challenge! I bought this studio vase at a yard sale in Derbyshire a few weeks ago, and have been unable to track down the maker.
The cylindrical vase is slab built with applied disc decoration to both sides. It is part glazed in a grey-blue. It feels really competently made.
It bears an impressed maker's mark - looks like an M in a circle. It is 12.5" tall and a really attractive piece.
Any ideas about who made this?
Thanks

Thanks so much - I've found pictures of other examples on line that confirm this. Can't believe how easy that was!

Re: Milton Pottery (Scotland)
You're lucky you posted it now. It had been one of our mystery marks for a while
