tea set of unknown origin
I found this funky tea set, and I have no idea what it's age or origins may be. I have some pictures. One thing to note is that my husband thinks the cups was fired upside down. The set has a large tea pot a smaller version for cream 2 cups and saucers. Thank you for the help!

Re: tea set of unknown origin
The mark looks like an elephant's profile. I suspect the set was made somewhere like Japan in the second half of the 20th century .

Welcome to the Forum redjewel81.
It doesn't appear to be a European mark on the bottom of the pot or at least not one that I could find.
So I agree with Naomi on this one, as iit does have the look of being made in Japan for the Western market.

I thank you for the info. I think it looks like a bird peacock or pheasant maybe. I will look for the mark some more.
