unglazed redware pottery well made
Hi again. here is another piece that has been decorating my home for a couple of years with no positive id. any help of course would be appreciated. I was thinking southern pottery but something looks oriental about it stands about 6" tall and 6-7 inches wide at its widest. I found this in an old store in the catskill mountains of NY state. The marker on the base is not originalwhttps://i.servimg.com/u/f57/18/57/17/22/peris_19.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f57/18/57/17/22/peris_20.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f57/18/57/17/22/peris_21.jpg

Looks like a traditional piece; Native American or Mexican. I suspect the number on the base is a collector's number, rather than a potter's number.
