Brown stoneware vase "Wh-something" signature?

Oh, forgot to mention...the mark seems Oriental if read sideways. Also, and a bit strange, the mark makes a perfect W when viewed in a mirror.

Not one I've come across, sorry. It might be a studio potter local to you (the base doesn't look European or Oriental), so possibly worth contacting the local galleries and studio pottery associations to see if they recognise it.
