A jug with an Apple or fruit stamp.Any ideas please.
This jug stands 6" tall and appears to have a mark in the shape of an apple.

James Brooke, The Pottery, Appleton-le-Moor, near Pickering in Yorkshire uses an apple mark on slipware pottery, but not like thus one. But it might be an earlier mark of his?

It looks quite old. Could it be pre-WW2? or even Victorian?

I suspect it's turn of the Century/early 20th Century. Maybe made somewhere like Appledore in Devon, or Somerset, for the Cider trade/ local pubs.
