Dog figurine
Quite a nice figurine I think, similar to a Lomonosov one I have. Marks incised on base are 417 and a W or M. Far east production?

sorry for the late reply, it's 23cm in length and 14cm in height. I'll get a photo of the feet up soon, do you want to see the base of them?

Outstanding call Potty, 99.99% you're correct after looking at others. It has the firing hole which is found on them and I'm led to believe that the "M" is for Colin Melbourne who was a Beswick designer who created a range of animal figurines for them during the 1950's.
