Possibly raku but looks more like a heavily grogged white earthenware . If it is raku, then not a very good example. Can't make out a date on the base. Shrugs

Looks like Raku / smoke fired to me too, I don't know, but would expect grogged white earthenware would be fine for Raku.

I dont see how the circles inside could be done with smoke firing they seem to be 'body stain' to me it is however low fired and remains porous with a dry almost chalky surface

Bit of a long shot but there's a potter called Ygor Lannoye in Belgium. Your pot doesn't look quite like anything on his website at http://www.ygor-ceramics.be/home.html, but he does seem to experiment with various different styles.

that Ygor chap seems to glaze everything , I didn't think for a minute that it was by Besnard just similar clay body colours on french ebay anything unsigned this colour is marked Besnard
