TCM(TCHIBO CERTIFIED MERCHANDISE) I am not familiar with.  I was able to find out that they used to have a web site that unfortunately closed down sometime in 2010 and they were running for approxiamately 40 years during that time.  This  particular product may have been mass produced to order, I really just don't know.   My problem is I am unable to find any information about it.  Any help about this piece is appreciated and could you kindly confirm that it is an orange squeezer. Happy

Tchibo is one of the largest retail chains in Germany that tried to expand into the UK but failed. The trade magazine "Retail Week" described then as " a glorified pound shop". They specialise in selling coffee but anything else that they can buy cheap and knock out quickly for a short period. I'm sure that you could squeeze an orange on your ceramic item but probably more likely a lemon!

Slightly off topic, but with reference to the Retail Weekly's comments about Tchibo referred to in SP's post; they certainly were not "a glorified pound shop." A lot of their stuff was made in Germany and of good quality for the reasonable cost, especially the kitchenware and electronic stuff. I bought quite a lot of stuff from them (but no coffee!) and wish they were still around. Sounds like a bit of prejudice to me.
