Any idea on this?

It stands 4" tall by circa 5" dia at the widest point.

Unfortunetely I have no photo of the base. I took the picture some time ago in an appartement of a friends friend. Maybe there is an era or a region known for this designs, or maybe there is a term for that kind of vase...? Anything that makes it easier to find something similar/close to that one is very much appreciated.

Well it looks like a porcelain fig-shaped bud vase. Maybe someone's making porclain fruit?

Without a base shot its impossible to know if its a factory moulded far eastern import or studio pottery. If its the former then there's probably a lot of it around and you might find examples on ebay.
